Laura Payne (b. 1987, Ottawa) is a contemporary artist based in Okotoks, Alberta, specializing in painting and new media. A BFA graduate from the University of Western Ontario with an MFA from the Mount Royal School of Art, she was a finalist for the 2017 Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Canadian Painting Competition.

Known for creating optical illusions that challenge perception, Payne’s works are part of collections like Google and RBC. Her innovative use of technology and design establishes her as a prominent voice in contemporary art.
